The cold and flu season is here again. Get ready with your prevention plan. Some people have already succumbed to the symptoms of the first round of the cold and flu this year.
We’re at the end of May and the flu season typically goes through to September, August is usually the worst month. That is my clinical observations after being in naturopathic practice for 23 years and also the general consensus from the medical community.
To my knowledge, the most potent immune boosting formula is a combination of Japanese Therapeutic Mushrooms. You can buy this in liquid or powder form.
The combination of the power packed mushrooms is anti-viral and anti-bacterial, and puts your immune system in top surveillance mode. Usually I would suggest adding a serve of high potency Vitamin C and Zinc (also known and proven to be anti-viral and immune boosting) and you have the Ultimate Immune Booster Tonic.
You can use this once or twice a day as a preventative. If you are exposed to people who have the flu or if you should start to get any signs or symptoms that you are getting a cold/flu, increase the frequency of the dose to every 3-4 hours for the acute phase.
There have been clients time and again, in previous years, who confirm that if they did get the flu with the rest of the family – when they were taking the Therapeutic mushrooms with Vitamin C and Zinc, they got over their symptoms in half the time as the other family members who hadn’t been taking the formula.
If you would like to buy some Therapeutic Mushrooms and Vitamin C & Zinc from my clinic, just give me a call. You can either pick up your supplements from the clinic or I can express post to you.
Other Top Tips
- Good old remedy – lemon juice and honey in hot water – great for cold symptoms and soothes a sore throat
- Good old fashion hygiene – wash your hands every time you sneeze or cough. Teach your children to cover their mouth when they cough
- Good old common courtesy – stay home when you are sick, you will get better sooner and you are less likely to give it to your work colleagues, family and friends.
